Why is merchandise so important?

Did you know that 82% of global independent artists say they can’t afford to tour, with fewer than 1 in 5 consider touring as actually financially viable?

We’re not saying that merch solves these problems, but we do know that it helps. What your music merchandise will do is create a reliable and long-term income stream.

We’ve delivered over £2 million in merchandising profits for artists in the last two years, and now we want to help you, too.

We believe that the best merch is created with fans in mind — products that will continue to be worn, washed and looked after for years to come. We’re looking for creativity, purpose and potential.

    1. Creativity
Merch is more than just putting a logo on a t-shirt. We want to see how your products will become an extension of your sound, identity and upcoming project.

Already have a concept/design? Upload them with your application.

    2. Purpose

Now more than ever, our artists and their fans care about what they consume. All merchandise will be sustainably and ethically made, with blanks supplied by AS Colour. We want to see ideas that consider the merchandise's longevity, sustainability and true purpose.

    3. Potential

We hope that ATAM will kickstart a reliable, long-term income for the successful applicants. This fund is open to all artists, anywhere in the world, of all genres and backgrounds, at any stage of their career. We encourage applications from underrepresented voices in music.
